I’m Maura Albrecht.
I ease the day-to-day financial lives of older adults with financial management issues they never anticipated while financial planning for their retirement years.
Over the course of their careers, many people have common concerns about their savings and investment strategies:
Will I have enough money after I retire?
Will I be able to maintain my financial independence?
Then post-career, other financial questions arise, such as:
How can I physically and emotionally handle the daily, weekly and monthly tasks of bill paying, organizing important papers, and working with medical or general assistance programs or retirement services?
I can help you with that last question.
As a licensed Minnesota life and health insurance professional and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), I have been heavily transaction-based for over 20 years. I’ve also had FINRA Securities training: three years of intensive study including stocks, securities markets, taxes, mutual funds, annuities, and money market instruments.
When I was a financial investment advisor, I would help my clients break down their big picture financial plans into smaller strategic pieces so they had a practical plan for financial security during their retirement years.
About 10 years ago, I left the investment services industry to found Financial Wellness for You, a boutique financial services firm. I provide customized money management services. I now focus on supporting older adults by removing the heavy emotions that come with bill paying, documentation management and other financial administration – giving back the joy they’ve always imagined retirement to hold.
My simple “4 Steps to Financial Wellness” system is designed to evaluate ongoing financial management needs – everything from reconciling bank statements to identifying and obtaining community services and senior care.
Taking away the daily money management and the accompanying emotional drain it often causes for individuals and families dealing with ongoing money discussions, has eased relationship stress, kept seniors on their budgets, and underscored the feeling of financial independence and wellness.
I live in the Twin Cities and make “house calls” to my clients in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN and surrounding metro area – mostly in the southern and western suburbs. Some of my services can be managed virtually, expanding my reach to clients who need my expertise nationally. On a personal level, my husband and I have 3 daughters and in my spare time I enjoy snow skiing, biking and hiking.
I encourage you to schedule a Free Financial Check up with me! We can meet at your home, a coffee shop or have a phone appointment. My part will take about 60 minutes. There is no cost or obligation on your part other than your time and attention for this initial meeting.
